The Bitumar Group's plants have supported the principle of safety and health, with a view to improving the overall well-being of all its employees, contractors and their employees.

Our continuing education program and the information provided to workers provide a better understanding of the risk and safety measures to be followed.

It is therefore incumbent on employees to perform their daily tasks in a safe manner, taking into account their own health and the health of their colleagues.

Policy on the Protection of the Environment

Aware and concerned of the ecological stakes and, more locally, by the impact of our activities on the environment, Bitumar Inc. has implemented and continuously improves its environmental management system which gives us the tools to manage the environmental aspects of our activities and evaluate our environmental performance. In order to protect the environment, Bitumar Inc. is committed to: 

• Prevent and minimize environmental nuisance as well as the pollution that we can cause  either accidentally or on a daily basis;
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the environment ;
• Continuously improve our practices to minimize any waste that we generate;
• Optimize our installations and equipment performance  in order to reduce waste of natural resources and energy. 

To reach these goals, Bitumar Inc. has implemented an environmental management system. Bitumar’s Management is committed to the continuous maintenance and improvement of its environmental management system and its dedication to the decisions and actions taken.
