Montreal (QC.)

Montreal is the city where Bitumar’s founder, Mr. Marcel Theriault, originally started operations in 1977.  Activities were then limited to the site on Metropolitain Blvd. E. in the East-end of Montreal.

Until recently this facility included the BurPak plant, the research center as well as Bitumar’s head office.

Later, in 1985, Bitumar acquired the Broadway street facility in Montreal-East, an asphalt plant which, ensuing sizeable investments made in it made by the company, is now one of the largest in Canada.

By April 2009, all offices and equipment were moved from the Metropolitain Blvd. E. site to a new site near Bitumar’s Broadway facility in Montreal-East, the Marcel-Theriault Complex.

Bitumar now occupies a new head office located on Ste-Catherine St. East in Montreal-East.

The Montreal plants have access to road, rail and marine transport.

The Managers of Bitumar’s facilities in Montreal-East are Mr. Claude Theriault, Burpak plant, and Mr. Guy Belanger, Broadway plant.
